Today, I would like to discuss the nature of humans. Our concept of humanity and the nature of humanity is exceptionally important. If I truly believe that humans are made in the image of God, how should that affect my other areas of thinking? If I think of humans as inherently tainted by sin, that has implications. Whether God created humans in a special means and implies a purpose is a crucial understanding that has significant influence. What about gender, sexuality, love, care, concern, worship? How do I know my beliefs to be true? Where can I find the description of the human and how we can become the ideal human? See, if you believe the Bible to be an infallible source of Truth, then what it says about humans must be true. If you believe something about humans contrary to the biblical text, then you don’t believe the scriptures to be true. If that is indeed the case, then your thinking about humankind is more central and stronger than your belief in the Bible as the primary source of truth. If this is the case, then you would have to transform your thinking so that you are consistent and coherent in your worldview.
Well, what do you think is a description of the perfect human?
