The answers to the questions of our universe’s origins and human beginnings will certainly make a difference in a Christian education. Mainly, there is no need for a Christain education if there is no imprint of the creator in the content and skills being taught. After all, Christian education is about ensuring the entirety of Truth is involved in the school’s program. The vast majority of Christian schools are not afraid of variant theories. Rather, the Christian educator knows that opposing views will not stand against the rigors of logic and investigation. The truth will win out.
The Bible says, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for instruction, for conviction, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, fully equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3)”
Christian education is about helping students turn away from those things that we are warned against. Moreover it is about inculcating the student against the evils that seek to transform their lives in unhealthy ways and ways that separate them from God. By using God’s word for instruction, conviction, and training. This doesn’t mean that the Bible is the sole text book. Rather it is the litmus test for truth.
The Christian educator and the Christian school wants its students to be complete and fully equipped. Therefore, the entirety of the school’s program is illuminated by the Truth so that lies can be determined and the truth be embraced. A strong Christian education leads to the outcome of a strongly educated and dedicated Christian, who can impact the world for good in whatever vocation taken.
